Agartala: Feb 01: The North-East Japan Caravan began on Saturday at the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala with the goal of merging the traditions and cultures of Tripura and Japan. The event featured PK Chakraborty, Secretary of the Information and Culture Department, Government of Tripura, as the chief guest, along with the First Secretary of the Japanese High Commission in India and the Director of the Japan Foundation, among others.
Various plans have been undertaken to showcase the traditions and culture of Tripura and the North-Eastern region abroad. One of these plans is the North-East Japan Caravan. This two-day event began on Saturday at the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala.
Speaking at the event, Information and Culture Department Secretary PK Chakraborty mentioned that such events have become possible due to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Central Government’s Ministry of Culture and the Tripura Government’s Information and Culture Department. He emphasized that this initiative will enrich the art and culture of Tripura.
