Agartala, August 12: Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee on Wednesday participated in a grand ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, joining the nationwide campaign aimed at promoting patriotism and strengthening citizens’ connection with the national flag.
The programme was held in the presence of Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives and citizens from different parts of the country.
The rally was organised as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide call to celebrate the Tricolour and encourage people to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
Taking part in the programme, Bhattacharjee expressed pride over his association with the initiative and highlighted the significance of the national flag as a symbol of India’s unity, dignity and sovereignty.
“Through the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, let us carry the message of patriotism and the glory of the Tricolour to every household,” Bhattacharjee said.
He described the national flag as representing the values and aspirations of the country and urged citizens to actively participate in the campaign with a sense of pride and responsibility.
Earlier in the day, the Rajya Sabha MP hoisted the national flag at his official residence in New Delhi with honour and respect. He appealed to people across the country to spread the spirit of nationalism and uphold the dignity of the Tricolour.
“The Tricolour is not just a flag — it is India’s glory, dignity and sovereignty,” Bhattacharjee said while emphasising the emotional significance attached to the national flag.
The rally at Bharat Mandapam featured colourful displays of the Tricolour and sought to convey a strong message of national unity and collective pride.
Bhattacharjee’s participation also marked Tripura’s representation at the national-level programme as the campaign gathered momentum ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative encourages citizens to hoist or display the national flag at their homes and participate in activities aimed at fostering patriotic spirit.
Bhattacharjee appealed to people to take the message of the campaign to every household and ensure that respect for the national flag and the values it represents continue to inspire future generations.
