Rajya Sabha MP and Tripura BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee joined party leaders and workers at Booth No. 16 under Kamalasagar Mandal on Sunday to listen to the 127th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat.
Following the broadcast, Bhattacharjee described the monthly programme as more than just a listening session, calling it “a moment of inspiration and guidance on the path of nation-building.” He said the Prime Minister’s words consistently motivate citizens to embrace social responsibility and public service. “Each episode of Mann Ki Baat ignites fresh energy in our hearts to serve the nation with greater dedication,” he added.
Later in the day, Bhattacharjee took part in the Har Ghar Swadeshi – Ghar Ghar Swadeshi campaign at the same booth, organized under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan. The initiative, inspired by the Prime Minister’s call for self-reliance, aims to promote the use of indigenous products and strengthen local economies.
Addressing reporters, the MP emphasized that the campaign seeks to instill a sense of patriotism and awareness about supporting homegrown industries. “Delivering this message to every household is not just a civic responsibility—it is a step toward strengthening our economy and realizing the vision of a self-reliant India,” Bhattacharjee said.
He urged citizens to adopt the spirit of Swadeshi in their daily lives, stressing that small individual choices collectively contribute to national growth.
Local MLA Anta Deb Sarkar, along with other BJP leaders and karyakartas, also participated in the events, reaffirming the party’s commitment to promoting self-reliance and the ideals of Vocal for Local across Tripura.
