A day after Tipra Motha’s massive rally in Agartala, party founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman urged his workers to intensify organisational activities across all blocks, expressing strong confidence in the dedication and strength of the party’s grassroots supporters. Reflecting on the overwhelming response to the rally, Debbarman said the turnout demonstrated the determination of the people despite deliberate attempts to disrupt the programme.

“The rally acted as a tight slap on the faces of people who had been consistently trying to stop or cancel it at any cost. I was under immense pressure, but the people answered every question with their presence,” he said. Calling the gathering deeply emotional, Debbarman added, “I feel my family has become bigger with the blessings of the people, especially the Tiprasa living in the villages. November 27 is the day I lost my father, and on that day this year, I received blessings from my larger family.”

He noted that guests from various northeastern states were thrilled to witness the passion and enthusiasm of the crowd. Extending gratitude to the supporters for their spontaneous participation, Debbarman also thanked the police administration for their cooperation. “I spoke to the DGP, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, and other senior officials, and they extended full support. After seeing the rally, I can confidently say that no one can stop us. We will win—but for that, we must work even harder,” he asserted. He also mentioned that many people could not reach the venue as roads became congested due to the massive turnout.

Encouraging his workers to step up political activities at the grassroots, Debbarman said, “This is the time to spread the message of Thansa. The youth must understand that this fight belongs to them as much as it belongs to me. A life without rights has no true meaning. We should no longer accept being treated as servants of Agartala.”

He urged party cadres to meet people across political lines and explain the objectives of Thansa—a message of unity and indigenous empowerment. “Go to the people. Talk to those in CPIM, IPFT, Janajati Morcha, and Congress. Make them aware of our goals and vision,” he said. Debbarman’s call marks the beginning of a more aggressive outreach campaign as Tipra Motha aims to consolidate support across Tripura’s tribal and rural regions.
