Agartala:
Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Tripura NCC Fest 2025 at the Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT), Narsingarh on Thursday, calling the National Cadet Corps (NCC) a vital force in shaping disciplined, responsible, and service-oriented citizens in the state.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Saha recalled his own experience as an NCC cadet in 1970 when he was in Class 11, describing it as the foundation of many values he carries to this day.
“Whatever I learnt from NCC, I can never forget. It was my foundation. I even received an award at the time, though I never imagined it would happen,” he said. He noted that today’s cadets enjoy far more facilities and opportunities compared to earlier times, and urged them to work with full dedication.

The Chief Minister emphasized the growing sense of patriotism in society, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for instilling national pride among the youth. He added that the NCC serves as a stepping stone for many who later join the Army, Navy, or Air Force.
“Indiscipline works like a magnet—it attracts people. But NCC helps people remain disciplined,” he remarked.

Dr. Saha highlighted that the NCC is not just an organisation but a nationwide movement that fosters unity, discipline, and the spirit of service.
“Seeing you in khaki, with bright and confident faces, reassures me that the future of Tripura is in safe and capable hands,” he told the cadets.

Providing a brief historical perspective, he noted that the NCC was established in July 1948, and its presence in Tripura has steadily expanded over the years.
“It is the largest uniformed youth organisation in the world. The Tripura NCC Fest 2025 stands as a landmark celebration of youth, discipline, and national service,” he said.

The Chief Minister further emphasized the unique role of NCC cadets in a border state like Tripura, praising their vigilance and their consistent service to society beyond ceremonial parades.

The event marks a vibrant platform for showcasing the talent, discipline, and patriotic spirit of Tripura’s youth.
