Preparations are underway at full pace for the grand closing ceremony of the Unity Promo Fest – 2025, set to take place on December 12 at Swami Vivekananda Maidan (Astabal Ground) in Agartala. A high-level coordination meeting was held on Monday at the Secretariat, chaired by Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, to ensure seamless execution of the much-awaited event.
The meeting brought together senior officials, including the Secretary of the Tourism Department, Inspector General (Law and Order), District Magistrate of West Tripura, Superintendent of Police of West Tripura, and senior as well as joint directors of the Tourism Department. Discussions focused on logistics, law and order, crowd control, security arrangements, and inter-departmental coordination to ensure the programme proceeds smoothly and safely.
Minister Chowdhury stressed the need for meticulous planning and collective responsibility, highlighting that the closing ceremony should reflect the festival’s spirit of unity, cultural vibrancy, and public celebration. He urged all departments to work in close collaboration to create a memorable experience for the citizens.
The festival, organized by the Tripura Tourism Department, has already attracted widespread public attention. Excitement has surged further after the announcement that renowned Bollywood playback singer Jubin Nautiyal will perform live during the closing ceremony. His participation has generated immense enthusiasm, transforming the event into one of the most anticipated cultural highlights of the year.
Since Monday morning, December 8, long queues have been observed outside the Tourism Department office near Agartala Town Hall, where entry passes for the event are being distributed. The distribution will continue until December 11, with each Aadhaar card holder entitled to one pass. The overwhelming rush for passes reflects the public’s eagerness and the pride associated with hosting such a large-scale cultural event.
As Agartala buzzes with anticipation, all eyes are set on December 12, when Jubin Nautiyal’s performance will mark a spectacular conclusion to the Unity Promo Fest – 2025, uniting thousands in an evening of music, celebration, and shared community spirit.
