Bengaluru , Mar 26– B.Y. Vijayendra, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), expressed his disappointment regarding the recent disciplinary action against Basana Gowda, calling it an unfortunate development. Speaking on the social networking platform X, Vijayendra highlighted the party’s core values of discipline, sacrifice, and dedication, which have been central to its growth and success. He emphasized that the BJP, a party rooted in the efforts of countless workers and nurtured by the teachings of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has always upheld these principles.
Vijayendra defended the party leadership’s decision, stating that the disciplinary action was a necessary step after observing the situation over time. He clarified that he had never complained to the party leaders about any incidents, no matter how bitter, and had always approached such challenges with patience and tolerance. Reflecting on the teachings of his father, Yediyurappa, Vijayendra stressed the importance of moving forward under the guidance of Sangh and party elders, viewing the party as a family.
While he acknowledged the need for discipline within the party, Vijayendra expressed regret over the action taken against Gowda, suggesting that it was not something he could celebrate. He reiterated his commitment to inclusive politics, aiming to bring even the most marginalized workers into the party fold.
In his statement, Vijayendra also reassured the party that he would continue to uphold the values of trust and responsibility. He urged party leaders and workers to accept constructive suggestions and work together towards the goal set by the party elders. He concluded by calling for support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India, with a focus on ousting the corrupt Congress government and building a prosperous Karnataka.
