Agartala: Feb 25: The issue of Bangladeshi infiltration into Tripura is an ongoing concern, despite the strict surveillance of the Border Security Force. Just yesterday, two Bangladeshi citizens, Arafat Hossain and Zeenat Era, along with an Indian tout, Sachin Kumar, were arrested from Agartala railway station for illegally entering the state by deceiving border guards .
The arrests were made possible through a joint operation by the Government Railway Police (GRP), Border Security Force (BSF), and Railway Protection Force (RPF), following a tip-off about Bangladeshi citizens attempting to leave for foreign countries. During interrogation, the detainees admitted to entering Tripura illegally.
This incident highlights the persistent problem of Bangladeshi infiltration into Tripura, which has become a daily occurrence. The Indian government has been working to strengthen border security, but the issue remains a challenge.
