Bengaluru, April 28, 2025:
Senior BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council, Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing its leaders of corruption and hypocrisy. Addressing the media at the BJP state office, Jagannath Bhavan, Narayanaswamy said that corrupt Congress leaders become restless at the mere mention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name.
Using a sharp metaphor, he compared Modi to an elephant and the Congress leaders to barking dogs. “When an elephant enters a village, all the dogs bark, but the elephant walks on. This is the current state of the Congress — all corrupt forces are united against Modi, but none can accuse him of any corruption,” he remarked.
Referring to the recent terrorist attack that claimed 28 lives, including people from Karnataka, Narayanaswamy criticized Congress leaders for allegedly disregarding the testimonies of survivors. He questioned their refusal to believe eyewitness accounts and pointed to a viral video of a young boy who said his father was killed after the attackers identified him as a Hindu.
He took direct aim at Siddaramaiah, questioning his ambiguous stance and accusing him of appeasing Pakistan. “Why confuse the people? If you’re for Pakistan, say it openly. In Pakistan, you are a hero in the media. Perhaps you want to be their PM,” he said sarcastically.
He also mocked Santosh Lad and Minister Thimmapura for their conduct, questioning whether such leaders were fit to hold office. Narayanaswamy concluded by asserting that it is PM Modi, not Congress leaders, who makes national decisions. He emphasized that the country stands with Modi and rejects the Congress party’s divisive politics.
