Bengaluru:Feb 26: Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, addressed the ongoing protest by contract nurses under the Karnataka State Contract Nurses’ Employees Welfare Development Association at Freedom Park. He expressed solidarity with the nurses and pledged to support their demands.
Narayanaswamy assured the nurses that he would raise their issues in the House and work to draw the government’s attention to their plight. He mentioned that he would gather details about their demands from MP Dr. Manjunath and discuss the matter with the Chief Minister and the Health Minister.
MP Dr. Manjunath also voiced his support for the nurses, emphasizing the need for equal pay for equal work and permanent employment for nurses, technicians, and other non-medical staff.
