Jerusalem, July 12, 2025:
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) announced on Saturday that it has carried out extensive military operations across the Gaza Strip over the past 48 hours, targeting what it described as “terrorist infrastructure and operatives.”
In an official statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), the IDF said approximately 250 terrorist targets were struck during this period. These strikes, according to the military, are part of a broader campaign involving Divisions 98, 36, 162, 143, and 99, operating with support from Military Intelligence and the Shin Bet.
Forces from Division 98 remain active in the Zaytoun and Shuja’iyya neighborhoods of Gaza City, where they reportedly destroyed explosive devices and surveillance outposts used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad for ambushing Israeli soldiers.
The IDF also confirmed that airstrikes directed by divisional fire control centers successfully neutralized dozens of militants allegedly involved in active combat operations against Israel.
In a separate operation, Division 162 conducted targeted strikes on terrorist infrastructure, including anti-tank launch sites and weapons storage facilities. Troops from Brigade 401 identified and eliminated two Hamas operatives with aerial support.
Meanwhile, the Givati Brigade’s combat unit continued operations in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, where they reportedly destroyed underground tunnels, booby-trapped structures, and seized weapon stockpiles.
“In the last 48 hours, the Air Force has struck approximately 250 targets across Gaza, including sniper positions, combat tunnels, and other strategic terrorist infrastructure,” the IDF said.
These developments come amid an escalation of violence in the region, with the Israeli military intensifying efforts to dismantle militant networks operating within Gaza. The situation remains fluid as ground and air operations continue.
