Dubai, Nov 17 — Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth met his UAE counterpart Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei on Monday during the Dubai Air Show 2025, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepen defence cooperation through institutional frameworks, joint training, and enhanced participation in defence exhibitions.

According to the Defence Ministry’s post on X, Seth encouraged greater collaboration in joint research, co-development, and co-production to strengthen long-term strategic ties between India and the UAE. He emphasised the importance of expanding defence engagements across multiple platforms.

Seth also inaugurated the BRAHMOS stall at the event, highlighting India’s flagship supersonic cruise missile system. During his visit, he interacted with 15 iDEX winners showcasing advanced technologies and aerospace innovations at the Vista Startup Zone. The Indian Consulate General in Dubai described BRAHMOS as a major attraction, noting that the missile can be deployed from ships, mobile launchers, submarines, and aircraft, and is capable of striking both land and sea targets.

Earlier in the day, Seth inaugurated the India Pavilion, which highlights indigenous fighter jet technologies, next-generation defence startups, and cutting-edge aerospace advancements—reflecting India’s growing focus on self-reliance and technological innovation.

Seth is leading a high-level Indian delegation to the air show, comprising senior officials from the Department of Defence, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of External Affairs, and the Armed Forces. The Dubai Air Show, one of the world’s largest aerospace events, hosts more than 1,500 exhibitors and over 148,000 industry professionals from 150 countries. Major global aerospace players participating this year include Bombardier, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, Thales, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, and Calidus, the Defence Ministry noted.

The meetings and engagements underline India’s growing defence footprint and its intent to strengthen strategic partnerships in the Gulf region.
