Jerusalem/New Delhi, Nov 3 — Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gideon Sa’ar, will arrive in New Delhi on Tuesday for a two-day diplomatic visit, during which he will meet External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and other senior Indian officials, the Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed on Monday.

During his visit, Sa’ar is expected to hold a series of high-level meetings with government representatives, ambassadors, diplomats, and leading figures from research institutions and the business community. The Israeli Foreign Ministry said the discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing strategic cooperation between India and Israel.

Sa’ar will also deliver a special briefing on Middle East affairs to Indian scholars specializing in foreign policy and security before concluding his visit and returning to Israel on Wednesday.

The visit comes amid reports in Israeli media that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is also planning a visit to India in the coming months, signaling deepening diplomatic engagement between the two nations.

Earlier this year, Sa’ar and Jaishankar met on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, where they discussed connectivity projects linking Asia, Europe, and the U.S. through Israel, as well as disruptions to global trade routes caused by the Houthis and Iran. The two ministers last spoke by phone on June 13 to exchange views on regional developments.

Ties between New Delhi and Tel Aviv have continued to grow under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Netanyahu, particularly in areas of defense, innovation, and technology.

Last month, both leaders exchanged Diwali greetings on social media, reaffirming their friendship and commitment to strengthening the India–Israel strategic partnership. Netanyahu extended wishes for “hope, peace, and prosperity” for India, while Modi expressed gratitude and wished his “dear friend” good health and success.
