Agartala, July 22: In a formal ceremony held at the Darbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan, Justice Mamidanna Satya Ratna Sri Ramachandra Rao was sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court. The oath of office was administered by Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu in the presence of several dignitaries, including senior judges, government officials, and members of the legal fraternity.
Justice Rao, who has had a distinguished legal career, takes over the reins of the Tripura High Court amid expectations of continuing judicial efficiency and upholding the rule of law in the state. Prior to this appointment, he served in various capacities in the judiciary and has earned a reputation for his balanced judgments and deep understanding of legal principles.
The swearing-in ceremony was marked by solemnity and tradition. After taking the oath, Justice Rao was felicitated by members of the judiciary and legal community. Speaking informally to those present, he expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and assured his commitment to justice and transparency.
Governor Indrasena Reddy, in his brief address, congratulated the new Chief Justice and expressed confidence that under his leadership, the Tripura High Court would continue to serve the people of the state with fairness and integrity.
