Udaipur, July 12 – In a significant move to empower young girls and nurture their talents, the “Kishori Utkarsh Manch” was officially launched on Friday in Tripura’s Gomati district. The initiative, aimed at providing a dedicated platform for schoolgirls to showcase their hidden skills, was inaugurated by Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy at Rajarshi Kalakshetra in Udaipur.

Organized by the Gomati District Education Department under the Samagra Shiksha scheme, the two-day event witnessed participation from numerous schools across the district. The program is part of a broader government effort to support holistic development among adolescent girls by encouraging artistic, cultural, and intellectual expression.

Addressing the gathering, the Finance Minister lauded the initiative and underscored the importance of nurturing every child’s unique abilities. “Every child is born with inherent talent. Platforms like Kishori Utkarsh Manch allow our daughters to gain confidence, develop a sense of identity, and realize their potential,” he said.

The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Gomati Zilla Sabhadhipati Debal Debroy, MLAs Abhishek Debroy, Jitendra Majumdar, and Ranjit Das, as well as Udaipur Municipal Council Chairman Shital Chandra Majumdar and District Education Officer Kalyan Bhadra.

As part of the ceremony, acclaimed Rabindra Sangeet artist Tithi Debbarma was felicitated by the Finance Minister for her outstanding contribution to Tripura’s cultural landscape.

The enthusiastic participation of girl students from diverse backgrounds and schools marked the event’s success. Through dance, music, speeches, and other creative expressions, the girls demonstrated the vast potential that lies within the younger generation.

The launch of Kishori Utkarsh Manch represents a meaningful step toward fostering self-confidence and empowerment among schoolgirls in Tripura.
