Agartala: Feb 07: Narender Singh Yadav, a young mountaineer from Nehrugarh village in Rewari, India, made history by becoming the first male mountaineer from India to scale the highest peaks of all seven continents. On December 25, 2024, at 1:42 AM (Indian time), Narender reached the summit of Vinson Massif (4,892 meters), the highest peak in Antarctica. At the time, the temperature on the mountain was a bone-chilling -52°C. His achievement was a significant milestone, as it solidified his place in the world of mountaineering, with his journey being supported by Spark Minda.

Narender’s mountaineering journey began at the young age of 12 when he started climbing hills in Jammu and Kashmir. By 2008, he began his formal mountaineering training and became a dedicated climber. He completed various prestigious mountaineering courses, including Basics of Mountaineering in 2012, Advanced in 2013, Methods of Instruction in 2015, and Search and Rescue in 2022. His accomplishments on the mountains include climbing Mount Everest in just six days, both in 2016 and 2022, without any acclimatization.

At just 19 years old, Narender became the youngest mountaineer to conquer the 6,512-meter-high Bhagirathi-2 and the 5,612-meter-high DKD-2. He also crossed several challenging mountain passes like the Kalindi Pass and Vasuki Tal Pass, summiting peaks in regions like Leh and Garhwal. Narender has also conquered Mount Kilimanjaro four times, Mount Elbrus twice, and climbed Australia’s ten highest peaks three times, including Mount Kosciusko.

His passion for mountaineering has earned him a place in record books. Narender holds 22 world records in mountaineering, a testament to his skill and determination. His dream of completing the Seven Summits—conquering the highest peak in each of the seven continents—was realized when he achieved this feat at the age of 30 years and 10 days. This broke the previous record held by a climber who completed the Seven Summits at 34 years and 7 months.

Narender’s accomplishment not only showcases his extraordinary physical and mental resilience but also brings pride to India. His story is an inspiration to countless aspiring mountaineers, proving that with determination and the right support, even the most ambitious dreams can come true.
