Udaipur, April 24: In a significant development for the education sector in Tripura, a new Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) is all set to commence academic activities in Udaipur, located in Gomati district, starting June 21. The launch of the school fulfills a long-standing demand of the local population, aiming to bring national-level education standards to the region.
Announcing the development, Tripura Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy confirmed that the school will begin operations within the PTI College campus. The announcement was made during an inspection visit to the site on Wednesday, which was also attended by MLA Abhishek Debroy, Gomati Zilla Sabhadhipati Debal Debroy, the Additional District Magistrate, and other key officials.
During the site visit, the Finance Minister reviewed the readiness of essential infrastructure including classrooms, administrative offices, and availability of utilities such as electricity and water. He stressed the importance of ensuring that the facilities are fully operational and student-ready by the beginning of the academic session.
Following the inspection, a detailed review meeting was held at the Gomati District Magistrate’s Conference Hall, where the officials discussed necessary administrative arrangements, staffing, and transportation logistics to facilitate the smooth launch of the school.
The establishment of this Kendriya Vidyalaya is expected to be a milestone for Udaipur, offering students in the district access to central government-run quality education and bringing them in line with academic standards followed across the country.
Local residents and parents have welcomed the move, expressing hope that the new institution will open doors to greater educational opportunities and academic excellence for children in the region.
