Agartala, October 6: Tripura Assembly Speaker and Bagmara MLA Ram Pada Jamatia is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the state after falling ill, sources said on Tuesday.
BJP state president Abhishek Debroy visited the hospital and enquired about Jamatia's health and treatment, they said.
Debroy met the Speaker during his visit and spoke to doctors and hospital authorities regarding his condition and the treatment being provided to him.
Jamatia, who represents the Bagmara Assembly constituency, has been receiving medical care at the private hospital following health-related complications.
The BJP state president wished the Assembly Speaker a speedy recovery and expressed concern over his health.
