Agartala, April 7: Marking World Health Day, the Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS) on Tuesday organized a series of impactful programmes aimed at promoting health awareness and hygiene among the public.

Aligned with this year’s global theme, “Together for health: Stand with science,” the institute highlighted the importance of science-backed healthcare practices and community participation in building a healthier society. The initiative focused on spreading awareness across different sections of society, encouraging people to adopt informed and preventive health measures.

Speaking to reporters, Dr Saurav Dutta emphasized that the primary objective of the initiative was to strengthen public health consciousness. He noted that TIPS remains committed to supporting global health campaigns and ensuring that scientific awareness reaches the grassroots level.

The observance began with a vibrant walkathon from Rabindra Bhavan, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and local residents. The rally moved through key শহরের routes before returning to its starting point, symbolizing a collective pledge towards healthier living and well-being.

As part of its outreach activities, TIPS representatives also visited the State Children Home for Girls at Abhoynagar. During the visit, gifts were distributed among the children, with a focus on promoting hygiene, cleanliness, and healthy habits from an early age. The initiative reflected the institute’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.

Adding an academic dimension to the event, a workshop on “Hospital Administration and its Future in Healthcare” was organized at the TIPS Assembly Hall. The session brought together experts and participants for in-depth discussions on the evolving role of hospital management and its significance in improving healthcare delivery systems.

Dr. Dutta further assured that TIPS will continue to undertake such welfare-oriented initiatives in the future. He reiterated the institute’s dedication to advancing health education, fostering awareness, and contributing to the overall well-being of society in Tripura.
