Agartala, December 12:
The much-awaited finale of the Unity Promo Fest 2025, organised by Tripura Tourism, is set to light up Vivekananda Maidan on December 12, with celebrated Bollywood playback singer Jubin Nautiyal headlining the grand musical evening. Anticipation among the public has soared, with demand for entry passes far exceeding availability, signalling a potentially record-breaking turnout.
Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, along with senior administrative officials, visited the venue on Thursday to assess ongoing preparations. Speaking to the media, he confirmed that arrangements are nearing completion and assured that the police department has implemented special measures—drawing from past experiences—to ensure that the high-profile event proceeds without any law-and-order disruptions.
The Minister outlined key preparations, including the installation of CCTV cameras across the grounds, deployment of volunteers, scout guides, civil-dress police personnel, and tourism department representatives for round-the-clock supervision. Additionally, special instructions have been issued to traffic police and security forces to manage the massive post-event crowd movement efficiently, ensuring smooth dispersal without congestion or mishaps.
Chowdhury appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to authorities so that the festive atmosphere remains unhindered. He emphasised that the month-long Unity Promo Fest has been conducted peacefully so far and urged citizens to uphold the same spirit during the grand finale. “The festival is a celebration of unity and joy. No situation should turn it into distress,” he said.
Following his inspection, the Minister chaired a final review meeting at the Tripura Tourism Development Corporation office at Swetmahal, Palace Compound, attended by the Tourism Secretary, Managing Director, and officials from various departments to finalise remaining arrangements.
With meticulous planning and heightened excitement, the Unity Promo Fest 2025 finale is expected to become a landmark cultural event for Tripura, showcasing vibrant public participation and festive enthusiasm.
