The Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, on Monday commenced the observance of Sadhana Saptah 2026 as part of the Centre’s Mission Karmayogi initiative, aimed at strengthening capacity building among government officials.

The week-long programme, scheduled from April 2 to April 8, was inaugurated at the Smart Training Centre by Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha in the presence of senior departmental officials.

Addressing the inaugural session, Sinha emphasised the importance of continuous skill development in governance. He noted that civil servants must regularly upgrade their knowledge to keep pace with emerging technologies and evolving administrative needs. Highlighting the growing role of digital tools, including artificial intelligence, he stressed the need for their responsible use while ensuring data security, transparency, and accountability in public administration.

Sinha observed that initiatives like Mission Karmayogi are designed to create a more responsive, efficient, and future-ready administrative framework capable of addressing emerging challenges.

Special Secretary of the OBC Welfare Department, Kuntal Das, also attended the programme and underlined the significance of the initiative, noting active participation by DIT officials.

Director of IT Jeya Ragul Geshan B stated that Sadhana Saptah promotes a culture of continuous learning within the administration. He highlighted the role of the iGOT Karmayogi platform in enabling structured and flexible learning, adding that the Directorate has achieved full onboarding on the platform.

As part of the observance, a series of webinars, workshops, and seminars have been organised. These include sessions on secure use of AI in official communication, project management, and government financial workflows.

Officials said employees have been encouraged to complete at least four hours of learning through guided and self-paced modules during the week. The initiative aligns with the broader national effort to enhance governance efficiency and service delivery.
