Agartala, July 22: Tripura Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha has been admitted to a private hospital in Agartala after developing viral fever accompanied by cough and dehydration. Doctors attending to him said his condition is stable and improving, and he remains under close medical supervision.

Hospital sources confirmed that Sinha’s vital parameters are normal and that he is responding well to treatment. Necessary medical tests are being conducted, while doctors continue to monitor his condition closely.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha visited the hospital on Wednesday to enquire about the Chief Secretary’s health. During the visit, he met the attending doctors and Sinha’s family members to review his treatment and recovery.

Later, the Chief Minister shared an update on social media, stating, “Visited Chief Secretary Shri Jitendra Kumar Sinha Ji, who is currently undergoing treatment for viral fever. His all other parameters are stable and normal. Spoke with the attending doctors and his family members to enquire about his health and the course of treatment. I wish him a speedy recovery and pray for his good health.”

Health Secretary Kiran Gitte also accompanied the Chief Minister during the hospital visit, reflecting the administration’s concern and support for the state’s top bureaucrat.

Doctors have indicated that Sinha is recovering steadily and feeling better than before. They said there is no immediate cause for concern, as his condition continues to improve with treatment.

The Chief Minister also reassured the public that the Chief Secretary is receiving appropriate medical care and is expected to make a full recovery. The state administration remains confident that Sinha will resume his official responsibilities after recuperation.

Officials said his health will continue to be monitored over the coming days, and further updates will be shared if required.
