Agartala: Jan 17: The decomposed body of a young man, later identified as Badal Chandra Sarkar (27), was found in an abandoned house in the Purba Gokulnagar Bhuyar Mata area, under Bishalgarh police station. Badal, who was mentally unstable, was known to wander the area regularly. His body was discovered on Friday morning after locals noticed a foul odor emanating from the vacant house. Concerned, the residents searched the area and stumbled upon the decomposed body of Badal Chandra Sarkar inside the house.
The locals immediately informed the Bishalgarh police station, who arrived at the scene and recovered the body. It was then sent to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Badal may have died two to three days prior to the discovery. The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear, but authorities are looking into all possible leads, considering his mental instability. While the cause of death has not been definitively established, the police are conducting further inquiries to determine whether foul play was involved.
