Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday chaired an important organisational meeting with ministers and MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Sonar Tori Guest House in Agartala, focusing on the party’s preparations for the upcoming Village Council elections and Local Body polls in the state.
The meeting witnessed detailed deliberations on a range of organisational and political issues, with particular emphasis on strengthening the party’s grassroots network and ensuring effective coordination among ministers, legislators and party functionaries ahead of the forthcoming elections.
During the meeting, Dr. Saha discussed the BJP’s organisational roadmap for the coming days and reviewed preparations for the electoral challenges ahead. The leaders exchanged views on measures required to further strengthen the party organisation at different levels and enhance engagement with people across the state.
The upcoming Village Council elections and Local Body polls figured prominently in the discussions. The party leadership stressed the need for coordinated efforts among elected representatives and organisational functionaries to ensure effective implementation of the BJP’s plans and programmes at the grassroots level.
Tripura Pradesh BJP President Abhishek Debroy, Tripura Pradesh observer Dr. Rajdeep Roy and several other senior party leaders attended the meeting and participated in the deliberations.
The meeting was also attended by several members of the state Cabinet and BJP legislators. Ministers Sushanta Chowdhury, Santana Chakma, Tinku Roy and Kishor Barman were among those present. BJP MLAs Rampada Jamatia and Kalyani Roy, along with other elected representatives and senior leaders, also took part in the discussions.
The organisational meeting assumes significance as the ruling BJP begins preparations for the upcoming grassroots-level elections in Tripura. The leadership discussed ways to further improve coordination between the party organisation and elected representatives while ensuring that organisational activities are carried out effectively across the state.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on strengthening the BJP’s organisational structure, maintaining close coordination among leaders and intensifying preparations for the forthcoming electoral exercises.
