Agartala, June 10:
A large group of TET aspirants gathered outside the Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) office on Tuesday, alleging multiple errors in the Final Answer Keys for TET Paper I and Paper II, published recently. The candidates cited factual inaccuracies and out-of-syllabus questions, demanding a transparent re-evaluation process before the final results are declared.

Aspirants claimed that at least three to four questions in the examination were either flawed or not in alignment with the prescribed syllabus. “We have verified these questions with NCERT and SCERT textbooks and found clear discrepancies,” one protester said. Candidates also presented printed excerpts from textbooks as evidence and urged the TRBT to reconsider the final key.

Despite mounting criticism, TRBT Chairman Pratyush Ranjan Deb maintained that the final answer keys were prepared in accordance with established procedures. In a formal statement, he explained that all complaints and feedback submitted online were reviewed by a panel of subject experts. “The final keys were developed solely based on expert opinion, and TRBT has no role beyond forwarding the concerns,” he stated.

Deb further added that the process mirrors national-level exams such as CTET, NEET, and JEE, where expert judgment is final. “If any candidate disagrees, they are free to seek legal remedy,” he noted.

Responding to continued protests, the chairman alleged that a group of candidates was intentionally disrupting TRBT operations and tarnishing its public image through false media narratives. “Their repeated gatherings have hindered official work,” he claimed.

Deb reaffirmed that rules governing the examination process cannot be changed under pressure and reiterated that the board remains committed to a fair and structured system in line with national standards.
