Agartala, July 20: In a continuing effort to strengthen Tripura’s healthcare infrastructure, State BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee reaffirmed his commitment to supporting community-driven public welfare initiatives.
On Sunday, Bhattacharjee handed over an ambulance to the Green Arrow Club under the 13-Pratapgarh Assembly constituency, as part of development efforts funded through the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS).
The newly provided ambulance aims to address emergency healthcare needs and improve medical access for residents of the locality. “It is our responsibility to assist local initiatives dedicated to public service, especially those aligned with our mission to enhance the state’s healthcare system,” Bhattacharjee said.
He expressed confidence that the ambulance would play a vital role in ensuring timely medical support and emergency services to people in the area.
Highlighting the broader healthcare achievements under the BJP-led state government, Bhattacharjee credited Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s leadership for significant improvements in the healthcare sector. He noted that medical services have not only advanced in urban regions but also in remote hilly and forested areas, bridging longstanding gaps in access.
“Tripura is witnessing tangible progress in healthcare delivery. From emergency response to rural outreach, the system is evolving to meet people’s needs more efficiently,” he added.
Bhattacharjee also assured that the BJP government remains committed to expanding healthcare infrastructure and that more such development projects will be undertaken in the coming days to ensure quality medical services for all citizens, regardless of their location.
The initiative has been welcomed by local residents and public health advocates, who see it as a meaningful step toward improving grassroots healthcare accessibility in the region.
