Agartala, July 29 — A high-level strategic review meeting was convened on Tuesday at Ambedkar College’s conference hall in Fatikroy, chaired by Minister and local MLA Sudhangshu Das. The session focused on addressing the pressing civic issues affecting residents across the Fatikroy Assembly constituency.
Key areas discussed included road infrastructure, access to drinking water, electricity supply, and public health services. The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Public Works Department (PWD), Drinking Water and Sanitation, Health, and Electricity Departments. Representatives from the Unakoti district administration, sub-divisional officers, and gram panchayat leaders were also present.
Minister Das emphasized that the meeting aligned with the state government’s development agenda under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. He reviewed the progress of projects funded in the previous fiscal year and urged concerned departments to ensure efficient execution of works approved under the 2024–25 budget.
“Our goal is to ensure seamless and equitable delivery of essential services across Fatikroy, particularly in remote and underserved rural areas,” Das stated. He also stressed the importance of identifying and resolving implementation bottlenecks to achieve 100% project completion within stipulated timelines.
During the interaction, gram panchayat representatives voiced concerns over dilapidated roads, erratic electricity supply, and irregular water services. Minister Das directed department heads to act swiftly and prioritize remedial measures in coordination with local bodies.
The meeting concluded with a consensus on increasing inter-departmental coordination and improving monitoring mechanisms to speed up development work. Residents and community leaders have welcomed the initiative, hoping it will bring tangible improvements to daily life in the constituency.
