Agartala, Sept 18:
Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Tripura on September 22, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday led a high-level inspection of the historic Tripura Sundari Temple premises in Udaipur. The visit was aimed at reviewing preparations for the inauguration of the temple’s newly redeveloped infrastructure and beautification project under the PRASAD scheme.

Accompanying the Chief Minister were Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Minister Kishore Barman, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Zilla Sabhadhipati Debol Debroy, and MLAs Abhishek Debroy and Jitendra Majumdar. The delegation carefully assessed arrangements to ensure a smooth and dignified event for the Prime Minister’s visit.

The team also inspected the Palatana OTPC helipad, which is expected to serve as the landing site during the Prime Minister’s arrival. Senior officials coordinated with the administration to review logistical, infrastructural, and security measures.

Speaking to the media, Chief Minister Dr. Saha said, “The newly developed infrastructure within the temple premises represents a harmonious blend of spirituality and modern amenities. It will greatly enhance the experience of devotees visiting the sacred Tripura Sundari Temple.”

Prime Minister Modi is expected to inaugurate the redevelopment project during his visit, which marks a significant milestone in preserving and promoting Tripura’s cultural and spiritual heritage. The Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, holds immense religious importance and draws pilgrims from across India.

Officials noted that the beautification project will boost heritage tourism, improve pilgrim facilities, and strengthen Tripura’s position as a spiritual destination. The upcoming event is expected to draw national attention, highlighting the state’s efforts to integrate tradition with modern infrastructure while preserving its rich legacy.
