The “Sapta Shakti Sangam,” organised by Tripureshwari Shishu Mandir, Ramnagar, was successfully held today, Sunday, 16 November 2025, at the Mukta Dhara Auditorium in Agartala. The event aimed to inspire women in their role in nation-building and promote women’s empowerment as part of a series of eighteen similar programmes being conducted across the state.

Dr. Poonam Mukherjee, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Tripura University and Executive Member of Vidya Bharati Purvottar Kshetra, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Special guest Dr. Sabita Das, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education, Kunjaban, also attended the programme. The event was further enriched by the presence of the Principal Acharya, several Acharyas, and members of the Matri Mandali.

The programme began with a welcome address highlighting the aims and objectives of Vidya Bharati, setting the tone for the day’s events. Dr. Poonam Mukherjee delivered an inspiring lecture on the seven essential virtues of women and their significant role in shaping society. Her thoughts resonated deeply with the audience, evoking reflection and motivation. Following this, Dr. Sabita Das spoke on the contribution of women in the fields of education and development, emphasizing their transformative impact on society.

A special felicitation ceremony formed the heart of the programme, where three distinguished women—Smt. Meena Roy, Smt. Arpita Saha, and Dr. Deepa Karmakar—were honoured for their contributions as embodiments of maternal strength and inspiration.

The event concluded with a collective pledge, participated in by all attendees, reaffirming their commitment to women’s empowerment and social progress. Through its thoughtful sessions and meaningful recognitions, “Sapta Shakti Sangam” succeeded in celebrating the power, virtues, and enduring contributions of women.
