In the run-up to the Uttar Pradesh bypolls, a war of words has intensified between Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav. On Sunday, Adityanath, during a campaign rally, slammed the SP, referring to the party as a “production house of rioters and criminals.” He accused the SP of harboring and promoting lawlessness in the state, particularly during its previous tenure in power. “The Samajwadi Party has been a breeding ground for criminals and riots,” Adityanath stated, emphasizing that the current government’s tough stance on crime had brought peace to Uttar Pradesh.

Adityanath also targeted Akhilesh Yadav, calling him the “CEO” of this alleged criminal enterprise. “Akhilesh Yadav is the CEO of a company that produces rioters and criminals. His party only thrives on violence and unrest,” he remarked, accusing the SP of trying to destabilize the state’s law and order.

In response, Akhilesh Yadav hit back, labeling Adityanath’s remarks as baseless and false. He questioned the Chief Minister’s ability to run the state effectively, citing the rising unemployment, inflation, and deteriorating law and order under his leadership. “While the BJP claims to bring development, all we see are false narratives and broken promises,” Yadav said.

The verbal battle between the two leaders is a reflection of the fierce political contest in Uttar Pradesh as both parties prepare for the upcoming bypolls. With the election outcome expected to impact the political dynamics in the state, both Yogi Adityanath and Akhilesh Yadav are leaving no stone unturned to appeal to voters.
