The resident of Ranirbazar had made a fixed deposit of Rs. 1 lakh a year ago, only to discover that the money had disappeared without her knowledge. Anima had been attempting to withdraw the funds over the past few days, but when she visited the bank today, she was informed that the amount had been withdrawn a month after the fixed deposit was made.
The shocking part of the story is that Anima Debnath claims she had no knowledge of the withdrawal and denies authorizing any such transaction.
