Agartala: July 30: Under the direction of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, a delegation of BJP Janajati leaders, led by MLA Rampada Jamatia, visited Asharambari in Khowai district on Wednesday. The visit came in the wake of a violent attack allegedly carried out by Tipra Motha workers during the broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday.

The delegation comprised Cabinet Minister Santana Chakma, former MP Rebati Tripura, senior party leaders including MLAs, MDCs, and the State President of BJP ST Morcha. They inspected the house where the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme was being organized when the attack took place.

During their visit, the leaders met with the families of BJP workers who were injured in the incident. They expressed solidarity with the victims and assured them of all possible assistance from the party and the state government. The team also called on the Superintendent of Police, Khowai, demanding strict and exemplary action against those involved in the attack.

According to reports, seven BJP karyakartas were injured in the violence, and several vehicles, including two-wheelers, were vandalized. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha had personally visited three of the injured workers at GBP Hospital on the day of the incident. He also issued a stern warning that such acts of violence would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Police have so far arrested three Tipra Motha workers in connection with the Asharambari violence. The BJP leadership has made it clear that the party will continue to stand by its workers and ensure that justice is delivered.
