Agartala: Sept 26: In the 33rd episode of the ‘Mukhyamantri Samepeshu’ program, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha engaged with citizens from various parts of the state at his official residence. The program provided a platform for individuals to directly communicate their needs, grievances, and problems to the Chief Minister.

During the session, the Chief Minister addressed a range of issues, including medical treatment, education, social benefits, and employment. He provided immediate assistance and issued necessary instructions to officials to resolve the concerns raised.

Among the attendees was Bhaskarjyoti Bhowmik from Jaynagar, Agartala, who is undergoing expensive treatment for a rare genetic disease in Kolkata. The Chief Minister arranged for free medicines and an Ayushman card under the Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana for his treatment. Other individuals seeking medical assistance included Karuna Debnath, a cancer patient from Bagma, Babli Sinha from Kunjban for her mother’s knee replacement, Geeta Bhowmik from Uttar Yogendranagar for her husband’s treatment, and Mina Pal from RMS Chaumuhani. The Chief Minister instructed the Medical Superintendents of GB Hospital and Cancer Hospital to provide the necessary support.

The Chief Minister also advised citizens to utilize the treatment facilities available in government hospitals. In response to Shila Rani Chakraborty’s appeal for social benefits, he directed the Additional Secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education, LT Darlong, to take immediate action. Additionally, he instructed relevant authorities to address issues such as pond filling and justice, providing financial assistance based on the severity of the problems.

The initiative reassured the attendees, who appreciated the Chief Minister’s prompt response to their concerns. Key officials, including the Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. PK Chakraborty, Additional Secretary LT Darlong, Director Tapan Kumar Das, Medical Superintendents Dr. Shankar Chakraborty and Dr. S Debbarma, and Managing Director of the State Branch of National Health Mission Dr. Samit Roy Chowdhury, were present at the event.
