Agartala, Sept 10: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Tuesday exchanged greetings with the Chief Samajpatis of various communities and held an interaction to listen to their views on social, cultural, and developmental issues.

During the interaction, Dr. Saha underlined the government’s commitment to the holistic development of Janajati communities. He said that multiple initiatives have been undertaken to improve the socio-economic conditions of the state’s indigenous brothers and sisters, ranging from livelihood support and education to healthcare and infrastructure development.

The Chief Minister emphasized that true progress for Tripura is possible only when harmony and unity prevail among all sections of society. “Unless we nurture a sense of brotherhood, we cannot move Tripura forward. Brotherhood is rooted in belief, trust, and faith, and this will further strengthen our relationships,” Dr. Saha stated.

He added that brotherhood cannot remain limited to words alone but must be reflected through collective work and action. “We must work together to build trust and strengthen the social fabric,” he said, urging Samajpatis to continue playing a guiding role in maintaining peace, stability, and cultural preservation within their communities.

Dr. Saha also acknowledged the Samajpatis’ contributions as custodians of tradition and social harmony, assuring them that the government values their inputs in shaping welfare policies. He called for their active participation in implementing state programmes at the grassroots level to ensure inclusive growth.

The interaction ended on a cordial note, with the Chief Minister reiterating his government’s resolve to build a stronger, united, and progressive Tripura through partnership with all communities.
