New Delhi : Oct 29: In a recent address, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized the need for the Indian Armed Forces to remain vigilant and prepared for the evolving challenges posed by the current global order. Highlighting the complexities of international relations, Jaishankar pointed out that geopolitical tensions, shifting alliances, and emerging threats require a robust and adaptable military posture.

He underscored the importance of strategic foresight and agility in responding to threats that may arise from various fronts, including traditional military challenges, cyber warfare, and non-state actors. Jaishankar noted that the global landscape is marked by increasing unpredictability, urging military leaders to enhance their operational readiness and capability to address diverse scenarios.

Jaishankar’s remarks come at a time when regional security dynamics are shifting, necessitating a proactive approach to defense and diplomacy. He called for deeper integration between the armed forces and diplomatic efforts, advocating for a comprehensive strategy that aligns military readiness with foreign policy objectives.

Furthermore, he stressed the significance of innovation and modernization within the armed forces, encouraging the adoption of advanced technologies and practices that can provide a strategic edge. The minister highlighted the need for ongoing training and collaboration with international partners to ensure that India remains a formidable player in global security.

In conclusion, Jaishankar’s call to the army brass reflects a commitment to strengthening India’s defense posture amid a complex and often volatile international landscape. By prioritizing readiness, adaptability, and innovation, he aims to position the Indian Armed Forces to effectively navigate the challenges of the modern world.
