Udaipur, Oct 28: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu paid a visit to the sacred Mata Tripureswari Temple in Udaipur on Tuesday morning and offered prayers to the presiding deity. The Governor’s visit to the temple—one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and among the most revered pilgrimage sites in the region—was marked by solemnity and devotion.

Upon his arrival, the Governor was warmly received by the temple authorities and officials of the Tripura Sundari Temple Trust, who accompanied him during the rituals. Governor Nallu offered prayers for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Tripura and expressed his reverence for the centuries-old temple, which stands as a symbol of the state’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage.

During his interaction with the temple priests and devotees, the Governor appreciated the efforts of the temple management in maintaining cleanliness, ensuring proper facilities for pilgrims, and preserving the sanctity of the historic shrine. He also emphasized the importance of promoting religious tourism in Tripura, noting that temples like Mata Tripureswari attract devotees from across India and contribute to the state’s socio-cultural harmony.

Governor Nallu also took the opportunity to review the ongoing development and beautification initiatives around the temple complex, expressing satisfaction with the progress and assuring continued support for preserving its traditional significance.

Devotees present at the temple expressed happiness over the Governor’s visit, describing it as a gesture that strengthens the bond between the state’s leadership and its people’s faith. The visit concluded with the Governor receiving a traditional memento and blessings from the temple priests.

The Governor’s prayer visit to Mata Tripureswari Temple reaffirmed the spiritual and cultural unity that continues to define the heart of Tripura.
