Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha met Narendra Modi in New Delhi and congratulated him on completing 12 years of service to the nation, while also discussing developmental priorities and governance-related matters concerning Tripura.
During the meeting, Dr. Saha expressed gratitude for the Prime Minister’s continued guidance and leadership and acknowledged his contribution to the country’s growth over the past decade. According to the Chief Minister, the interaction reflected on several transformative initiatives introduced under Modi’s leadership that have significantly impacted governance, infrastructure and public welfare.
Dr. Saha highlighted major programmes such as the Digital India initiative, infrastructure expansion and flagship welfare schemes including Ayushman Bharat, Swachh Bharat Mission and PM Awas Yojana. He said these initiatives have contributed to improving public services and empowering millions of people across the country while supporting the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
According to the Chief Minister, the Prime Minister’s policies and governance approach have played an important role in enhancing India’s position at the global level and strengthening developmental efforts across sectors.
The two leaders also reportedly held discussions on issues related to governance and development in Tripura. Sources indicated that the meeting focused on state priorities, implementation of welfare schemes, infrastructure development and ongoing initiatives aimed at accelerating growth and improving service delivery in the state.
Dr. Saha later thanked the Prime Minister for his continued support and cooperation toward Tripura’s development. In a social media post after the meeting, he also mentioned presenting the Prime Minister with a framed photograph of the sacred Mata Tripura Sundari Temple and its redeveloped premises.
He noted that the temple, redeveloped under the PRASAD scheme, has increasingly emerged as a significant spiritual and tourism destination, attracting devotees and visitors from different parts of the country and contributing to the preservation and promotion of Tripura’s cultural and religious heritage.
