Agartala: Nov 14: The state is filled with talented youth, and both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha are working to provide platforms for them to excel, ensuring they can progress further in the future. This was stated by Minister Sushanta Chowdhury during his address at the concluding ceremony and awards distribution of the state-level Art Festival held at the Rabindra Shatabarsiki Bhavan on Thursday.
He highlighted that in the past, only students from prestigious schools, who paid hefty fees, could secure top positions in competitive exams. However, the current government is striving to introduce modern infrastructure in the state’s education system, ensuring that even students from rural schools can participate in these competitions. Previously, national-level exams were mostly dominated by students from CBSE and ICSE schools, but now students from rural areas are also competing in these exams.
Minister Chowdhury emphasized that the government is not willing to compromise on education and health. He pointed out that the state’s primary focus is on improving these two sectors, as progress in education and health is essential for the advancement of any state or nation. The event was also attended by N.C. Sharma, Director of the Department of School Education, and other officials from the Higher Education Department.
