Agartala: April 04: Pradesh BJP President and MP Rajib Bhattacharjee expressed strong support for the recently approved Wakf Amendment Bill, calling it a transformative step towards ending corruption and injustice, while ensuring justice for the poor and marginalized Muslims. Bhattacharya highlighted that after extensive discussions in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, the bill has been passed, marking the beginning of a new era for the Wakf institutions.
The Wakf Amendment Bill is seen as a pivotal reform aimed at addressing long-standing issues within the Wakf system. Bhattacharjee emphasized that it would help put an end to the era of corruption that had plagued the management of Wakf properties and bring transparency and accountability to the system. The bill is particularly significant for the impoverished Muslim community, many of whom have been deprived of the benefits intended for them, as it is expected to ensure that the resources are utilized effectively for their welfare.
In his statement, Bhattacharjee also praised the continuous efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President J.P. Nadda, for their role in pushing the bill forward. He pointed out that the Prime Minister’s vision of building a developed India and uplifting underprivileged sections of society has been clearly reflected in this reform. Bhattacharjee’s comments underscore the BJP’s commitment to addressing the needs of all communities, particularly the marginalized, and providing them with the opportunities they deserve.
Overall, the Wakf Amendment Bill is seen as a critical measure to ensure greater accountability and justice for the deprived, setting the stage for a more equitable and transparent system.
