In preparation for the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council elections, Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy chaired an important organisational meeting on Sunday at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Khowai district office.

The meeting brought together leaders from multiple tiers of the party, including state, district, and mandal-level functionaries, along with BJP-nominated candidates from the Halahali–Asharambari, Ramchandraghat, and Maharani–Teliamura constituencies. The primary focus of the session was to strengthen coordination among party units, refine campaign strategies, and intensify grassroots mobilisation efforts in the lead-up to the polls.

Discussions centred on booth-level management, voter outreach, and ensuring effective communication of the party’s development agenda. Leaders stressed the importance of maintaining unity and discipline within the organisation while working collectively to secure a strong performance in the council elections.

MLA Pinaki Choudhury, along with several senior BJP leaders, also attended the meeting. Their presence highlighted the significance the party is placing on the Khowai district, which is considered strategically important in the electoral landscape.

Party leaders described the gathering as a decisive step toward consolidating the BJP’s organisational base in the region. With the elections approaching, the party appears focused on strengthening its grassroots network and ensuring that its campaign reaches every voter across the constituency areas.
