Agartala, Nov 7 : Six young members of the Bharat Scouts and Guides from Tripura's Ranirbazar have received the prestigious Rajya Puraskar Award from Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu at a ceremony held at Lok Bhawan here on Saturday.

The awardees belong to three units under the Ranirbazar scouting fraternity — Ranirbazar Scouts Troop, Ranirbazar Open Rover Crew and Mother Teresa Ranger Crew.

The recipients include three Scouts, two Rovers and one Ranger, whose dedication and active participation in scouting activities earned them the state-level recognition.

The three Scouts honoured with the award are Kishan Rudra Paul, Abhi Debnath and Dipayon Debnath. Sourajit Goswami and Kishor Debnath received the distinction in the Rover category, while Jaya Debnath was recognised as a Ranger.

The Rajya Puraskar is considered an important milestone in the Scouting and Guiding movement, recognising young members for their commitment, discipline, leadership qualities and participation in various activities.

The achievement is also a significant recognition for the Tripura State Bharat Scouts and Guides (TSBSG), particularly its Ranirbazar-based units, which have been encouraging young people to develop leadership skills, self-confidence, teamwork and a sense of social responsibility.

Receiving the award directly from the Governor at Lok Bhawan made the occasion particularly memorable for the six recipients, their families and members of the scouting fraternity.

The achievement has generated pride among their families, Scout Leaders, Rover Scout Leaders, Ranger Leaders, educational institutions and other members of the scouting community in Ranirbazar.

Members of the Ranirbazar Scouts and Guides congratulated the awardees and expressed hope that their accomplishment would encourage more young people to join the movement and contribute to society.

They said the recognition would motivate other members to pursue higher achievements while upholding the core principles of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, including service, discipline, leadership and responsible citizenship.

The Rajya Puraskar is among the significant state-level recognitions in the scouting movement and encourages young members to continue their journey of personal development and community service.
