Agartala, Oct 15 : Tripura Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma on Thursday inaugurated three newly constructed classrooms and three laboratories at Asharambari Higher Secondary School in Khowai district, aiming to strengthen educational infrastructure and improve learning facilities for students.

The newly developed infrastructure is located in Debbarma's Assembly constituency and is expected to provide students with better facilities for classroom instruction and practical learning.

The inauguration programme was attended by the Additional District Magistrate of Khowai, the Block Development Officer of Tulashikhar and other officials.

Addressing the gathering, Debbarma said development should be assessed by the positive changes it brings to people's lives rather than merely by the size of buildings or the number of projects announced.

He emphasised that public infrastructure must be completed within the stipulated timeframe, properly maintained and effectively utilised to ensure that it delivers tangible benefits to the people.

The minister also spoke about his association with Khowai, describing his roots in the area as an integral part of his identity. He said his responsibilities extended to every citizen of Tripura.

Debbarma highlighted the need to improve educational facilities, create greater opportunities for young people and support development at the local level.

He called for a results-oriented approach to development and urged government officials and public representatives to ensure that welfare schemes and infrastructure projects translate into meaningful benefits for ordinary people.

The minister stressed that the success of development initiatives should be measured by their impact on people's lives and the extent to which they address local needs.

The newly inaugurated classrooms are expected to improve the school's teaching infrastructure, while the laboratories will provide students with facilities for practical education.

The addition of these facilities marks an effort to strengthen the educational infrastructure of Asharambari Higher Secondary School and create a more conducive learning environment.

Officials present at the programme included representatives of the district administration and the local development block.

The inauguration is expected to contribute to improving access to educational facilities in Khowai district, particularly by providing students with additional classroom space and laboratory infrastructure.

The programme also underscored the importance of timely completion, proper maintenance and effective utilisation of public infrastructure to ensure that development projects serve their intended purpose.
