Jaipur, Sept 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate a ₹45,000 crore nuclear power project in Banswara, Rajasthan, on September 25. The ambitious project, designed to generate 2,800 MW of energy, is being hailed as a historic milestone for both the state and the nation.

Announcing the development, BJP State President Madan Rathore said the plant would significantly strengthen energy security, boost infrastructure, and accelerate regional development. Speaking to the media in Dungarpur–Banswara on Thursday, Rathore added that the project would also create new employment opportunities and attract fresh investments to southern Rajasthan.

He confirmed that senior central and state leaders, Union Ministers, Ministers of State, and local dignitaries would attend the Prime Minister’s programme. Rathore described the project as a decisive step toward the all-round development of Banswara and nearby districts.

Emphasising national unity, Rathore cautioned against “fragmentation forces” that disrupt development. “Political differences may exist, but any attempt to divide society, weaken culture, or damage brotherhood must be opposed socially and legally so that the path of development remains smooth,” he said.

Rathore also highlighted key government initiatives including Seva Pakhwada, Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, and the upcoming GST Next Reforms. He credited GST reforms and income tax relief under the Modi government with reducing burdens on citizens and small industries, making essential items, medicines, agricultural tools, and raw materials more affordable while boosting local production and employment.

Pointing to India’s growing industrial strength, he said that foreign tariff barriers would not harm Indian competitiveness, noting that tariff hikes abroad only raise costs for their citizens. He also praised India’s resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic and the country’s advances in defense production, mobile manufacturing, and toy industries, calling them a testament to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
