Agartala: Jan 06: Shyam Sundar Co. Jewelers celebrated the New Year with underprivileged children in Dharmanagar, Tripura. This annual event, organized with joy and enthusiasm, aims to bring happiness to the children of the community through various activities.
This year, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewelers, a heritage jewelry house, celebrated the English New Year by bringing smiles to the children of the Gurukul Children’s Home in Dharmanagar. The children, filled with the joy of childhood, performed songs and dances to showcase their hidden talents. A stage was set up for them to express themselves, and numerous games were organized to ensure they had a fun-filled day. The event’s goal was to provide children with an opportunity to enjoy the day from their hearts.
A variety of gifts were also distributed, including study materials, sports items, nutritious food, cakes, and chocolates. The celebration concluded with a shared meal, where everyone enjoyed the festivities together.
The “New Year Celebration” was dedicated to children who may not fully understand the meaning of such celebrations but were given the chance to experience joy and happiness. Honorable Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, Shree Bishwabandhu Sen, was the chief guest, and special guests included Swami Girijanandji Maharaj, Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission in Kailashahar, and Shree Biman Chandra Nag, Principal of Maharshi Dayanand Yogashram. Shyam Sundar Co. Jewelers’ directors, Arpita and Rupak Saha, were also present.
In his speech, Shree Bishwabandhu Sen expressed his happiness at participating in the celebration, congratulating Shyam Sundar Co. Jewelers for their noble initiative. Swami Girijanandji Maharaj and Shree Biman Chandra Nag also praised the event, wishing for the success of future projects for the welfare of the region.
Rupak Saha, one of the founders of Shyam Sundar Co. Jewelers, highlighted their commitment to social causes beyond their jewelry business, always ready to extend a helping hand. Arpita Saha emphasized their dedication to supporting the underprivileged, including women and children. The day ended with the distribution of blankets and dry food to the homeless in Dharmanagar and surrounding areas, making this New Year’s celebration truly meaningful.
