Agartala: Jan 06: Two electric golf carts were donated to GBP Hospital today to enhance patient convenience, thanks to MP Rajib Bhattacharjee. The donation, made from the MP Development Fund, was handed over during a ceremony held at 2 PM, with District Magistrate Bishal Kumar and other dignitaries in attendance.
Speaking to the media, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee expressed his strong belief that these electric golf carts would significantly improve the movement of patients within the hospital premises, making it easier for them to travel to different departments. The introduction of these carts is a part of a broader effort to improve healthcare services and accessibility at JGBP Hospital. Bhattacharya also acknowledged the instrumental role of District Magistrate Bishal Kumar, who helped coordinate the logistics of acquiring these vehicles to ensure they met the hospital’s needs.
The total cost of the two electric golf carts amounted to Rs. 12 lakh. Bhattacharjee emphasized that this initiative was part of his commitment to making healthcare services more accessible and efficient for the residents of the district. The donation is expected to not only ease the mobility challenges faced by patients but also enhance the overall patient experience at the hospital.
This gesture is one of several planned developments aimed at improving infrastructure and services in the region, with the long-term goal of ensuring better healthcare access for all.
