Agartala, April 3 — Manik Saha on Friday alleged that the primary objective of Tipra Motha is to create unrest in the state ahead of the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections.

Addressing a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) election rally at Gabardi Bazar, the Chief Minister issued a stern warning against any attempts to disturb peace during the poll period. He said the government would take strict action against those involved in creating instability.

“Motha’s main aim is to create unrest. If anyone tries to create disturbances, they will not be spared. Wherever necessary, force will be used through legal means to maintain peace and law and order,” he asserted.

Dr. Saha further accused Tipra Motha of misleading people through what he described as political deception. However, he expressed confidence that the public has now become aware of such tactics and will not be influenced.

Highlighting the importance of the upcoming elections, the Chief Minister said the TTAADC polls are crucial as they will shape the future direction of the autonomous district council. He urged voters to exercise their democratic rights fearlessly and participate in large numbers.

Projecting the BJP as the only dependable force for safeguarding the interests of tribal communities, Dr. Saha claimed that people have already seen through what he termed as “false promises” made by the current ruling dispensation in the ADC.

He also pointed to what he described as a growing wave of support for the BJP among tribal populations across different parts of the state. According to him, many people are joining the party in large numbers, placing their trust in its commitment to development, stability, and good governance.

Referring to recent political developments, the Chief Minister said a similar show of support was witnessed in the Pekuajala–Janmejoy Nagar constituency, where people came out in significant numbers to back the BJP.

Reiterating his appeal, Dr. Saha called on voters to support peace, development, and stability by casting their votes in favour of the BJP in the upcoming TTAADC elections.
