Kamalpur, Aug 10 — Proving that determination and willpower can break all barriers, Tarnesha Das, a college student from Salema in Tripura’s Dhalai district, has made it to the International Book of Records by writing the word “Ram” 36 times on a single jackfruit seed measuring just 2 cm in length — and she did it in only two minutes.

Tarnesha, daughter of Piyush Kanti Das, hails from Kachurchhara village under Salema. The International Book of Records authorities honoured her achievement with a certificate and medal after verifying her attempt through an online video call.

Speaking to the media from her home, Tarnesha shared that her earlier record, registered in the India Book of Records in 2023, involved drawing maps of 21 countries on 21 lentil seeds. Her consistent success proves that extraordinary achievements are possible even from small corners of the country.

She credited her family’s encouragement and the guidance of her art teacher, Rajib Rudra Pal, for the accomplishment. Friends also helped her in coordinating communication with record officials.

Tarnesha believes that today’s youth should use mobile phones and the internet for educational purposes rather than solely for social media entertainment. “If used properly, mobile phones can be an ideal tool for learning and self-improvement,” she said.

Her achievement has brought pride not only to Salema and Kamalpur but to the entire state of Tripura. Locals and well-wishers see her as a role model for young people, demonstrating that with effort, vision, and persistence, success knows no boundaries.

“With effort, willpower, and determination, one can reach any height. I’ve tried to prove that once again.”
