Agartala, Oct 22: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, along with First Lady N. Renuka, extended a warm welcome to the Governor of Goa, Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, and his spouse upon their arrival at Raj Bhavan, Agartala, on Wednesday evening.
The visiting dignitaries were received with traditional courtesies at the Raj Bhavan premises. Governor Nallu and First Lady Renuka greeted Governor Raju and his wife with floral bouquets and exchanged pleasantries, marking the beginning of their official visit to Tripura.
Officials from the Raj Bhavan and senior state government representatives were also present to receive the guests. The reception was followed by a brief interaction between the two Governors, during which they discussed matters of mutual interest, including governance, development initiatives, and cultural ties between Tripura and Goa.
Governor Raju’s visit to Tripura is part of a broader engagement aimed at fostering inter-state cooperation and goodwill among constitutional heads. During his stay, the Goa Governor is expected to visit key cultural and heritage sites in and around Agartala and meet senior officials of the Tripura administration.
The Tripura Raj Bhavan, known for its architectural elegance and serene surroundings, has often hosted dignitaries from across the country. Wednesday’s reception added to its long tradition of hospitality and cordial state relations.
Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, who assumed office earlier this year, has been actively engaging with various states to strengthen Tripura’s cultural and administrative connections. The visit of the Goa Governor, officials said, is expected to further promote goodwill and exchange of ideas between the two northeastern and western states of India.
