Agartala: Oct 25: Union Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Jitan Ram Manjhi, recently highlighted the transformative potential of the PM-Vishwakarma scheme in boosting the rural economy, specifically noting the significant progress being made in Tripura. Launched as part of the government’s broader initiative to empower artisans and small entrepreneurs, the PM-Vishwakarma scheme aims to provide skill development, financial support, and market access to rural craftsmen.

During his visit to Tripura, Manjhi emphasized the scheme’s role in fostering entrepreneurship and creating sustainable livelihoods for local artisans. By focusing on skill enhancement and providing necessary resources, the government aims to uplift traditional crafts and small-scale industries, thus contributing to the economic growth of rural areas.

Manjhi praised the state’s efforts in implementing the scheme effectively, stating that Tripura is setting an example for other states in terms of leveraging local talent and resources. He noted that the collaboration between the state government and various stakeholders has been pivotal in ensuring that the benefits of the PM-Vishwakarma scheme reach the intended beneficiaries.

The Minister also pointed out that the scheme is not just about economic growth; it is also about preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of rural communities. By supporting traditional artisans, the initiative aims to sustain and enhance the unique crafts and skills that are intrinsic to Tripura’s identity.

As Tripura continues to make strides in implementing the PM-Vishwakarma scheme, Manjhi urged local entrepreneurs and artisans to take full advantage of the opportunities provided. He reaffirmed the central government’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for MSMEs, emphasizing that their growth is essential for achieving holistic economic development.

In conclusion, the PM-Vishwakarma scheme is poised to make a significant impact on Tripura’s rural economy, empowering local artisans and fostering entrepreneurship, thereby contributing to the overall development of the region.
