Agartala: April 03: In a recent public rally in Udaipur, Tipra Motha leader Pradyot Kishore Debbarma addressed the ongoing challenges his party faces in maintaining unity. He emphasized that preserving unity is crucial for the Tiprasa community’s future, asserting that if they stay united, they could take charge of Tripura’s governance by 2028. Debbarma called for continued collective action to secure the community’s rights, especially in the face of long-standing neglect.

Debbarma also criticized opposition leader Jitendra Choudhury for publicly opposing Tipra Motha while failing to challenge former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on issues vital to the Tiprasa people. He pointed out that successive governments—Congress, the Left Front, and BJP—have ignored the Tiprasa community’s demands, including those for language rights and development.

The Tipra Motha leader accused the CPM of engaging in “cheap politics” over the past 25 years without contributing to the progress of the Tiprasa community. Despite these obstacles, Debbarma vowed to continue fighting for the Tiprasa people’s rights, stressing that his identity is inseparable from their struggle. He also issued a strong warning to the interim government in Bangladesh, declaring that any attack on Tripura would lead to the creation of Greater Tipraland.

The speech underscored the necessity of unity within the Tiprasa community to counter divisive tactics and achieve their rightful demands. Debbarma reiterated his dedication to the cause, especially for the younger generation, and condemned opposition leaders for failing to act on key issues like education and language rights. His message was clear: the Tiprasa people must stand together to secure their future.
